María José Pérez, a cantaora from Almería -Spain-, won the Antonio Chacón Award. In the competition she performed many cantes, such as malagueñas, granaínas, cartageneras, tarantas, tarantos and mineras. She played the granaína brilliantly and her performance of the tarantas and the tarantos –which are typical from her homeland-, showed everybody her mastery. The decision to award her was unanimous.
